ABOUT ME
I’m Lucy and it has been my lifelong interest to learn about people and communities; how we think, create connection, learn, develop, love and thrive. For the past 12 years I have worked in both social care and education, supporting young people and adults with difference to thrive. I have led teams and coached managers’ in creating positive workplace culture, focusing on wellbeing and ultimately delivering the very best opportunities to those they support.
Over the last 12 years I have experienced how the combination of a ‘coaching way of being’ and access to nature impacts positively on an individuals subjective and psychological wellbeing, including for children.
Modern life is complex and challenging at times and I understand this first-hand; I have had to learn how to maintain mental wealth and I now know what keeps me healthy and creates meaning and purpose in my life. I have tried, tested (researched in depth!) ways of ‘learning to surf the waves’ and flourish in life, that I would like to share my experience and knowledge with you so that you too can navigate the inevitable ups ups and downs of life.
I felt it was time to combine my experience, qualifications and passion to create Lucy Marie Coaching & Consulting so that I can continue the privileged work with individuals, leaders and groups to help them flourish in life.
Outside of Lucy Marie Coaching & Consulting I also work as a consultant and trainer in Children’s Residential Care for a leading South-West based provider.
I am a Devon local and you will often find me wandering Dartmoor with my Labrador, swimming in rivers or the sea or generally savouring the beautiful landscape of the South West. I am a creative person and find my ‘flow’ not only in coaching but also in painting, embroidery and interior design. I’m an easy-going person, who loves to laugh and enjoy the unique and varied tapestry of life – humour will often be part of our time together!
